Forget to Guess

-This is a dictionary poem-

Forget- To not remember.

I know it
I know it
I know it
I got it
It’s gone
I know it was something me
And my girl
Were talking about it
Since yesterday
Or was it today?
The streams of thoughts
Were as fresh as
Great great great great great Aunt Betty’s
Fruit cake.
I know what it is
I talk about
Everyday for the last
I forgot
But of course its
Something living
Dead
Or maybe inanimate
I forgot
It was in line 43
Of the Canterbury tales
Or was it?
Nope I lost it.
It was clear as
Queen Elizabeth’s love
For Literature and comedic plays
But only the ones with dogs
So it had to be about the…
Damn I lost it.
I know it!
Its on the tip of my tongue
What is it!?
Is it superman’s true identity?
-which is Clark Kent-
Or maybe its mommy’s 25 year old collection
that’s hidden under her bed
-magazines of Will smith-
Or maybe its something as simple as
I like pie.
I forget
Maybe its Edgar Allen’s Poem
With my name in it
-he didn’t love me-
Maybe it’s the song with the lyrics
‘I don’t wear skinny jeans
Blah blah blah blah something because
My gap don’t fit’
I think by Jay-Z
I think
I don’t remember
Train of thought
Train of thought
What is it?
What is it?
Train of thought
Train of thought
What is it?
What is it?
Oh yeah!
I’m allergic to---
Something that can kill me
I think.

Guess- To think or suppose.
